I forgot to post my Funday Monday yesterday, so in lieu of that, I decided to come through on my promise to find a picture from the Dirty Dancing re-enactment:
It's a little blurry but you get the picture [haha total pun-intended].
So we must do a bit of catching up here. Not this past weekend, but the weekend before, we celebrated my very special roommate (Em)with her bachelorette party. I know I don't seem like the OCD planner-type (ahem...who believes that?), but absolutely loved planning something so fun for such a wonderful friend. To keep this from becoming an unreasonably long post, I will give you the Cliff notes:
Where: Ross Bridge
Who: 14 of Em's closest friends (also filed under the alias bridesmaid)
What: Lingerie Shower/Dinner at 26/Out for drinks at Blue Monkey
This is what the girls saw in each room when they arrived
I tried to tie in the sassy shoe theme wherever I could
The leopard boot is a welcome note. Each notecard below it held a
picture of Em with the bridesmaid. Each bridesmaid wrote a special
note for Em and they were subsequently arranged in a small photo
album for her to keep. Each of the little dress gift boxes held some
of Em's favorite chocolates and were meant for the guests to keep.
You'll never believe where I got them.... DOLLAR TREE! (10 for a $1!)
Our bride-to-be enjoying her signature cocktail: A Dirty Shirley
(or as Emily calls it a Vodka Strawberry...no one knows why)
My FAVORITE thing I made...gift tags that also kept the "sassy shoe" theme.
These were so easy to make and added the perfect personal touch to her gift.
Love you Em! It's easy to do things like this for someone you love!
I would most definitely recommend 26 to anyone in the Birmingham area. The food was delicious. I tried the grouper, Em had filet tournadoes and others had salads and such. All were delicious. Perfect date night...hint hint to the guys out there :-), your girlfriend wants to go here. And although I know I have a personal vested interest, Ross Bridge is just gorgeous. I got to go there today for business (something very exciting, but I can't post it until Thursday!). There really is no where else like it and if you appreciate great accommodations, beautiful scenery and immaculate service, this is the place for you.
Can't believe I am moving out at the end of the week and you will be getting married at the end of the month! So glad we got to live together one last time. Long live Monica and Rachel.
aw love this!! Thanks so much for your work on it all, it was so fun!! You are dearly missed at beloved Cherry :( I'll see you at lunch!
